What if Future Piccolo Survived the Fight with the Androids of the Trunks Timeline?
In the Dragon Ball series, if Future Piccolo had survived the grueling battle with the Androids from the Trunks timeline, it could reshape the storyline with numerous significant impacts. This article delves into the various scenarios and implications if Future Piccolo were to survive, focusing on training and power growth, team dynamics, mentorship, and emotional effects.
Training and Power Growth
Given Piccolo's reputation for adapting and growing through rigorous training, his survival could lead to extraordinary advancements. In the harsh conditions of the future, he would continue to hone his skills and unlock new techniques and transformations. This could render him a powerhouse capable of facing even more formidable opponents in the future.
Team Dynamics
With Future Piccolo alive, he would play a crucial role in the resistance against the Androids. His strategic mindset and combat experience would be invaluable, potentially leading to more effective plans and tactics against the Androids. His presence would strengthen the unity and coordination of the Z Fighters, ensuring a more organized and determined resistance.
Impact on Trunks
Future Piccolo could serve as a mentor to Trunks, helping him refine his skills and improve his fighting techniques. This mentorship would deepen Trunks' character development and make him a more formidable warrior. Trunks, under the guidance of Future Piccolo, would be better prepared to face the challenges ahead and potentially save the Earth multiple times.
Confrontation with Cell
If Future Piccolo survived, he might play a pivotal role in events leading up to the Cell saga. His extensive knowledge of the Androids could provide crucial insights into how to combat Cell when he arrives, possibly altering the timeline's events and outcomes. Future Piccolo's experience with the Androids would be invaluable in formulating strategies to defeat Cell and other threats.
Potential for Fusion
Future Piccolo could also be a candidate for fusion with other fighters such as Future Gohan or even Trunks himself. This fusion could create a significantly more powerful being capable of challenging the Androids and later threats. A fusion would bring unparalleled power to the resistance, enhancing their ability to defend the Earth against future adversaries.
Emotional and Psychological Effects
Piccolo's survival would bring a sense of hope and resilience to the remaining fighters. His presence would motivate others to fight harder and create a stronger emotional bond among the survivors. The Z Fighters, invigorated by Piccolo's determination and unwavering will, would be more united and determined to protect the Earth.
Timeline 1: Assuming for a moment that he survives but only barely with heavy injuries, he would link up with Gohan and retreat to the Lookout to discuss their next move with Kami. Piccolo says that if they go at them again, they'll certainly both die so they should either train for a few years and come back or Piccolo fuses with Kami and hopes that is enough. If it's not enough and he dies, then Gohan plays things out with Trunks as they did originally. If it's enough, Piccolo and Gohan then set about wishing everyone back besides Vegeta and peace returns. But everyone is much weaker than they were because although the cyborgs are supposedly weaker than in the rebooted timeline, so is everyone else due to no 3-year training. They all die to Dabura and Babidi.
Timeline 2: If Piccolo doesn't fuse with Kami and instead opts for wishing for immortality, running into the ROSAT for a few months and then challenges the cyborgs again. That would probably be enough since although the cyborgs can never tire out Piccolo can never again sustain permanent injury or tire either. They could war for centuries in a stalemate theoretically. However, I think Piccolo would attack them as an immortal and lose again, train in ROSAT again, and win in round three, thus saving the Earth. Dabura and Babidi are this time a bit easier to handle due to an immortal Piccolo on the good side sensing their arrival and teaming up with Kaioshin. I believe Kaioshin and an immortal Piccolo might be enough to barely take out Dabura if they can avoid his stone spit. Then, since Beerus has no reason to bother them, neither does Zamasu.
Ultimately, Future Piccolo's survival would lead to a more coordinated and effective resistance against the Androids, potentially changing the course of events in that timeline significantly. These scenarios highlight the critical role Future Piccolo plays and the potential impact his survival could have on the broader narrative of Dragon Ball.
