Jon Snow and Wonder Woman: A Clash of Worlds and Wisdom
Imagine a world where the mighty swordsman Jon Snow, a leader among the others in the wild and troubling lands of Westeros, somehow crossed paths with the powerful and noble Wonder Woman, goddess of both war and peace in the legendary realm of Themyscira. What would happen in such a meeting?
Wonder Woman: Hmm, that is a tough one. While I can't say for sure what would happen if we were to meet, my guess is... well, nothing good! I'd likely remain skeptical and impenetrable to your words, though you might try to charm your way into convincing me of something.
Jon Snow: Ha! You may be powerful, but so am I. Who says nothing good would come of a meeting between us? On the contrary, imagine all the new ideas we could come up with if our wisdom combined forces; it might just give us an edge in bringing justice to where it's needed. Let's not pretend that I'm trying to charm my way out of anything here. What do you say?
Wonder Woman: I appreciate your optimism, but the fact remains that until one of us has a change in our outlooks or morals, our meeting would simply end up being two people disagreeing and most likely leaving with hurt feelings. Logic alone will rarely be enough to reach an agreement over such a complex topic.
Inspiring New Insights
Wonder Woman, being the wise and multi-faceted character she is, would teach Jon everything he didn’t know he didn’t know. “Because [as that other bloke said] as we know there are known knowns, there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns, that is to say, we know there are some things we do not know.” After meeting Diana, Jon would know both the known knowns and the known unknowns, leaving him pondering over the unknown unknowns.
The Impact on Winter
As for the impact on winter, it would most likely mean the end of it. Diana is just too much for the Others to handle. She would fly to the heart of winter, find the Walkers, and decimate them. With or without their leader/s, if they have any to begin with.
Jon is essentially a trustworthy kid, and Diana is essentially a very trusting woman. She would at worst do a reconnaissance mission to check if his words are true. More likely than not, she would take his tale at face value and deal with the danger at hand. Wonder Woman has faced much worse and much more impossible scenarios in the past.
The Challenges Ahead
Then all that remains are the constant wars on the continent. The abuse, murder, and rape of common people. How will Jon explain Westerosi customs to Wonder Woman? Let’s just say she would not be thrilled at how things are in there. Not a little bit.
This scenario, while fictional, brings to light the complexities of merging different worlds and cultures. It challenges us to think about the impact of meeting someone from a different background and the potential cross-cultural insights that could be gained.
