Did Grogu Survive the Destruction of Luke’s Training World?
As of my last knowledge update in August 2023, the details of Grogu’s fate during the events of Kylo Ren's attack on Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple have not been explicitly detailed in Star Wars canon. The timeline places the destruction of the temple around 28 years after The Rise of Skywalker. However, the exact details of Grogu’s experiences during that time remain unclear. His survival and subsequent adventures are explored in various Expanded Universe content, such as books and fan-crafted stories.
Can We Assume Grogu’s Survival?
Well, we can assume it's possible but since there is no on-screen proof via the Star Wars Canon, you can't definitively say whether he died or not. In The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren told Luke that Luke was the last Jedi. But even if he believes that, it doesn't mean it is so. Because there are almost always survivors of massacres.
Survivors of Massacres
How do I know? According to Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader was the only one left of the Jedi religion. Grand Moff Tarkin stated: "The Jedi are extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe. You, my friend, are all that's left of their religion." However, he was wrong because Yoda was in hiding in the Dagobah system, and Obi-Wan was still alive on Tatooine. There are plenty of other Jedi who actually survived Order 66, and if they could survive that, they could survive Kylo Ren.

People love Grogu too much for Disney to kill off the character. Grogu seems to possess quite a powerful connection to the Force. Are they capable of it? Possibly, because they have done a lot of dark things, like Lucasfilm blowing up Alderaan and Disney blowing up an entire system. In the prequel trilogy, Darth Vader murdered young children in The Revenge of the Sith. But even though they were children, they were nameless children, so we sorta really didn't care about them as much as we should have. No character development. Even now when we rewatch The Return of the Jedi and Vader is redeemed, are any of us thinking about how he slaughtered a bunch of Padawans 20 years earlier? No. He even becomes a Force Ghost! And it's all about marketing. It's all about selling toys, shirts, stuff animals, and keychains. Why would anyone want to buy a Grogu toy if they killed the character off before the sequel trilogy? That's not going to do well for children who want those toys.
We care about Grogu as harsh as it sounds. We didn't really care about those Padawan younglings, not enough character development. We saw them only once before this, during Attack of the Clones for a 5-minute scene where Yoda was training a bunch of them. And then for 10 seconds we saw them in The Revenge of the Sith.
