Can Vegito Unlock Ultra Instinct?

When it comes to the powerful fusion of Goku and Vegeta, several aspects come into play, making this question quite intriguing.

Jiren never learned Ultra Instinct, and even though Vegeta could achieve the form, he does not desire to, as he chooses a different path from Goku and gains Ultra Ego. At the end of Gogeta's battle with Broly, he starts manifesting a partial form of Ultra Instinct, indicative of his body's natural abilities. Additionally, Goku displayed Ultra Instinct near the end of his fusion with Gogeta, suggesting that it is attainable.

Gogeta's aura is unique, appearing only with Ultra Instinct, Goku, and Jiren. This raises the question: can Vegito unlock Ultra Instinct if he embraces it?

Obstacles in Achieving Ultra Instinct

Most of Vegeta's attempts to learn Ultra Instinct have been unsuccessful. Whis, the divine guardian, also noted Vegeta's struggle in achieving the technique. Pride and ego are significant factors, as Vegeta resists copying Goku, wanting to go his unique path.

During the Tournament of Power (ToP), Vegeta often referred to Ultra Instinct as a sign of weakness. His nature and pride make it very unlikely for Vegeta to follow in Goku's footsteps with this technique. Even if the plot had allowed it, his pride would have still prevented him from adopting Goku's style.

Instead of pursuing Ultra Instinct, Vegeta has pursued another variant known as Ultra Ego. This technique offers a different approach, emphasizing offensive power rather than the defensive nature of Ultra Instinct.

While anyone could potentially unlock Ultra Instinct with enough training, Vegeta's nature and focus on developing his own unique path make it highly improbable. Ultra Ego, in my opinion, is a cooler take on the concept, shifting from being defensive to being offensive. This makes it more aligned with Vegeta's personality and fighting style.

With Goku's current mastery of Ultra Instinct and Vegeta's pursuit of Ultra Ego, it is clear that neither character aims to follow the other's path. However, if the plot allowed, Vegeta might indeed unlock Ultra Instinct, but his pride and unique approach to power make it a distant possibility.

For now, Vegito's power lies in the fusion of Goku and Vegeta's distinct strengths, with Goku displaying Ultra Instinct and Vegeta progressing towards Ultra Ego. The journey continues, and the question of whether Vegito can unlock Ultra Instinct will likely remain a topic of speculation.
